Day 1:
From Bagdogra to the Border: A Warm Welcome to Bhutan!

Your Bhutan adventure begins with a scenic drive from Bagdogra to the Bhutan border town of Phuentsholing. Along the way, enjoy views of the Himalayan foothills. Once at the border, check into your hotel and take a peaceful visit to Zangto Pelri Lhakhang. The evening is free to relax and explore.

Thimphu Bound: Journey Through Bhutan’s Heart

After breakfast, head to Bhutan's capital, Thimphu, where you’ll experience the vibrant culture of the kingdom. Stop to take in the scenic beauty of waterfalls and breathtaking mountain views along the way. Upon arrival, spend the evening strolling around the Clock Tower and Market Area.

Day 3:
Explore Thimphu: A Day of Hiking, Culture, and Local Crafts

Today is all about immersing yourself in Thimphu's natural beauty and cultural heritage. Hike up to Cheri Monastery, where you’ll have picnic lunch after the monastery. Later, visit Buddha Point to see the world’s largest sitting Buddha, the Simply Bhutan Museum, and Takin Zoo. Explore Bhutan’s handicrafts emporium for some unique souvenirs!

Day 4:
Punakha Bound: Serenity Amidst the Himalayas

After breakfast, take a scenic 3-hour drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. On the way, stop at Dochu La Pass for stunning 360-degree views of the Himalayan range. Upon reaching Punakha, enjoy lunch by the river and visit the majestic Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most magnificent fortresses. For the adventurous, there's an optional river rafting activity (cost excluded).

Punakha to Paro: Cultural Treasures Await

This 5-hour round trip will take you up to the monastery's viewpoint, where you’ll be rewarded with spectacular views. For an extra indulgence, you can enjoy a traditional hot stone bath at a local homestay

Phuentsholing Bound: Reflect on Your Journey

Today, bid farewell to Paro and take a scenic drive back to Phuentsholing. Along the way, stop to admire the natural beauty of the rivers meeting at Chu Zom and the historic iron bridge. Arrive in Phuentsholing and spend the evening at leisure, reflecting on the incredible experiences of your Bhutan adventure.

Departure Day: Farewell Bhutan, Until Next Time!
