Day 1:
Welcome to Iceland

Arrive at Keflavík International Airport and enjoy a private transfer by coach and guide to Reykjavík, where you will spend the night at your hotel.

Day 2:
Reykjavik City Tour & Borgarfjörður Saga Valley

Meet your tour guide at 09:00 for a tour of Reykjavik's highlights. Then, travel west to Borgarnes and explore Iceland's early days at the Settlement Center. Continue to Borgarfjörður, the Saga Valley, and climb the Grábrók volcano crater. Visit Deildartunguhver, Europe's most powerful hot spring, and admire the Hraunfossar waterfalls and the nearby Barnafoss with its tragic tale. The afternoon includes a Northern Lights lecture. After dinner, search for the Northern Lights in the hotel garden while enjoying a hot cup of chocolate or tea.

Day 3:
Snæfellsnes Peninsula & Lava Cave

Explore the Snæfellsnes Peninsula, a microcosm of Iceland with its rugged mountains and picturesque landscapes. Visit the fishing village of Grundarfjörður and the iconic Kirkjufell mountain. Continue to Arnarstapi and Hellnar, then venture into Vatnshellir cave, descending 35 meters underground. On the way back to Borgarnes, get practical tips on photographing the Auroras. In the evening, chase the Northern Lights and relax in the hotel's outdoor hot tubs.

Day 4:
Golden Circle, Geothermal Taste & Friðheimar

Travel along Hvalfjörður fjord to Þingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Follow the Golden Circle route to the Geysir geothermal fields and taste hot spring bread at Restaurant Geysir. Visit the Gullfoss waterfall and learn about the Icelandic horse's unique qualities and history. Tour a geothermal greenhouse before heading to your accommodation in South Iceland. Tonight, search for the Northern Lights in the peaceful rural setting.

Day 5:
Natural Wonders of South Iceland & Eyjafjallajökull Volcano

Journey along the South coast, stopping at the Lava & Volcano Exhibition Center to learn about geology and active volcanoes. Visit a folk museum with a collection of farm and domestic artifacts and several turf-built houses. Admire the 60-meter high Skógafoss waterfall and stroll along the black lava beach at Reynisfjara. Spend two nights near Kirkjubæjarklaustur in the Vatnajökull National Park region, ideal for Northern Lights viewing.

Day 6:
Vatnajökull National Park & Glacier and Diamond Beach

Today focuses on glaciers, ice, and icebergs. Visit Jökulsárlón, a glacial lagoon with floating icebergs, and walk along the Diamond Beach. Tour the tiny turf church at Hof and explore Europe’s largest national park, featuring Iceland’s highest mountains and largest glacier. In the evening, enjoy a Northern Lights film presentation. Optional Ice Cave Tour available (weather permitting). Optional Ice Cave Tour: Price: 190 Euros per person Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours Description: This tour takes you on an unforgettable journey into an ice cave, offering a unique opportunity to explore the mesmerizing beauty of Iceland's ice formations. The tour includes a 30-minute drive by 4×4 vehicle from the Jökulsárlón glacier lagoon, followed by a 5-15 minute hike (one-way) to reach the ice cave entrance. Once inside, you'll spend about one hour exploring the ice cave, marveling at its crystal-clear ice formations and unique features. It's essential to wear good hiking boots and warm clothing to stay dry from the dripping water in the cave. The minimum age for participants is 10 years old.

Day 7:
South Shore & Blue Lagoon

Travel across the Eldhraun lava field to Vík for a photo stop. Visit the black lava beach with high bird cliffs, then continue to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. In the afternoon, relax at the Blue Lagoon before returning to Reykjavík for your final night.

How do I book the optional Ice Cave Tour?

The Ice Cave Tour can be booked on day 2 of the tour. Participants will meet their local guide at the designated location, and booking details will be provided by your tour guide.
