Day 1:
Arrival in Bishkek

Upon your arrival in Bishkek, you will be greeted by our guide at the airport. We'll transfer you to your Hotel where you can check in and freshen up after your journey. Once you're ready, we'll embark on a city tour of Bishkek, exploring its vibrant streets, historic landmarks, and bustling markets. After an afternoon of sightseeing, we'll reconvene in the evening for a delightful welcome dinner at a local restaurant, where you can savor traditional Kyrgyz cuisine and mingle with fellow travelers.

Day 2:
Rise to the Challenge: Son Kul Lake Expedition Begins!

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we'll begin our adventure outside of Bishkek. Today, our 4X4 tour takes us to Son Kul Lake via the breathtaking Kalmak Ashuu Pass, which stands at an impressive 3400 meters above sea level. Along the way, we'll make a stop for coffee and facilities, allowing you to stretch your legs and capture stunning photographs of the surrounding scenery. Known for its awe-inspiring landscapes, this route is a favorite among travelers seeking natural beauty. Upon reaching our destination, you will be enchanted by the serene beauty of Son Kul Lake, where we'll stay in a cozy yurt camp nestled near the shoreline. Distance: 200 km (60% asphalt, 40% dirt road)

Day 3:
Nomad Nation: Son Kul Lake Sojourn

Today we will spend the whole day near Son Kul Lake, Kyrgyzstan's second-largest lake. At 3013 meters above sea level, this lake is the highest alpine lake in Kyrgyzstan and is surrounded by mountains. Kyrgyz nomads travel with their families to this beautiful region for recreation. The lake is used as a pasture by herders from the Naryn region. You will enjoy a picnic lunch in nature. You will have time to explore and take in the lake's pristine surroundings after we arrive. Complimentary rides are available around the lake's shorelines, and nomadic families can be met along the way. Dinner and nights are spent in yurts, which are collapsible nomadic dwellings. Day 5:
Stone Fortresses and Mountain Magic: Tash Rabat Tales

In the morning, we'll carry on with our independent 4X4 adventure. You will go by car to the Great Silk Road's Tash Rabat Caravanserai (Stone Castle from the 14th century). The architectural monument is a special historical site in the very heart of the Tian Shan Mountains. At a height of 3200 meters above sea level, the caravanserai Tash Rabat was constructed from stone blocks inside a mountain. It contains 31 rooms in all and the walls are 1 meter thick. Moreover, there are underground jail cells that were once used to keep thieves. Later we'll travel through the most stunning gorge to Ak Talaa Valley. The fantastic panoramic view of Ak Talaa Valley, which means "White fields," is like a painting of the most talented painter. Its height exceeds 3,000 meters. Lunch picnic with a stunning view. Drive back to Naryn town via MELS Pass. Dinner at a local restaurant. Distance: 240 km (60% asphalt, 40% dirt road)

Day 6:
Top of the World: Tosor Pass Triumph

Get ready for the ultimate thrill as we conquer the stunning Tosor Pass, reaching a jaw-dropping 3,950 meters. Each turn reveals breathtaking views of pristine lakes and snow-capped peaks—perfect for capturing unforgettable photos. By evening, we arrive at the enchanting Issyk Kul Lake, the world's second-largest alpine lake, known as "the pearl of Central Asia." Surrounded by towering mountains, the lake's beauty is simply mesmerizing. End the day with a cozy dinner and a night at a charming guesthouse, soaking in the serene magic of Issyk Kul. Distance: 370 km (10% asphalt, 90% dirt road)

Day 7:
Eagles and Red Rocks: Jeti Oguz Jaunt

Embark on a scenic drive along the southern shore of Issyk Kul Lake, where untouched nature will leave you in awe. En route to Karakol, meet a traditional eagle hunter and witness a captivating eagle hunting demonstration. Next, marvel at the stunning red rock formations of Jeti Oguz Gorge, known as the ā€œSeven Bulls.ā€ Upon arriving in Karakol, enjoy a city tour featuring the Dungan Mosque and old Orthodox Cathedral. Dinner and overnight stay at the Matsunoki Guest House. Distance: 100 km (70% asphalt, 30% dirt road)

Day 8:
Discovering Issyk Kul

Journey along the northern shore of Issyk Kul Lake, capturing breathtaking views from every angle. Traverse the scenic gorges of Semenovskoye and Grigorievskoye, famous for their rushing rivers, Tien Shan fir trees, and alpine meadows. Enjoy a delightful picnic lunch amidst nature before settling in for dinner and a restful night at your hotel Distance: 190 km (70% asphalt, 30% dirt road)

Horses and Heritage: Chong Kemin Chronicles

Drive to Bishkek, with an exciting stop at Chong Kemin Gorge to watch the thrilling horse game Kok Boru. Experience other traditional horse games as well. In Bishkek, enjoy a guided city tour and explore the vibrant Asian bazaar. End the day with a farewell dinner at a local restaurant. Distance: 260 km (100% asphalt)

Each vehicle provided for the self-drive adventure can accommodate up to 4 passengers. Participants will be paired accordingly.

Full-board meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, are provided daily throughout the trip. Meals feature local cuisine and picnic lunches during excursions.

Are there any additional fees or deposits required for the rental vehicles?

Yes, a refundable deposit of $600-$800 per car is required for car rental. This deposit will be returned upon the safe return of the vehicle at the end of the trip.

What activities and cultural experiences are included in the tour?

The tour includes a variety of activities such as horseback riding in Chon Kemin, a folk show in Naryn, eagle hunting, horse games in Chong Kemin, and a boat cruise in Cholpon Ata.
