Day 1:
Lima: Welcoming Miraflores

Welcome to Lima! Upon arrival at Lima airport, get ready to kick off your adventure in Peru! You'll be whisked away to your hotel nestled in the vibrant district of Miraflores. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM, giving you time to settle in and freshen up. Once you're ready, step out to explore the lively streets of Miraflores, filled with trendy cafes, artisan markets, and stunning ocean views.

Day 2:
Paracas: Island Expedition

After breakfast at the hotel, gear up for an exciting day ahead! Transfer to the bus station for a thrilling journey to Paracas Bay. Spend the afternoon at leisure, perhaps lounging by the pool or exploring the nearby beach. Later, embark on an adventurous excursion to the Ballestas Islands, home to a diverse array of marine life. Get up close with playful sea lions, graceful dolphins, and majestic seabirds on a thrilling boat ride. Return to the hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Spend the evening strolling through the charming streets of Arequipa, soaking in the colonial architecture and lively atmosphere.

Day 5:
Arequipa: Thrills in the Andes

Today is all about adventure! After breakfast at the hotel, embark on an adrenaline-pumping excursion to the Colca Canyon. Marvel at breathtaking landscapes, spot Andean wildlife, and soak in the rejuvenating hot springs of Colca. Lunch will be provided during the excursion. Return to the hotel for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.

Day 6:
Colca: Canyon Exploration

After a hearty breakfast at the hotel, get ready for a day filled with exploration in the majestic Colca Canyon. Depart from Arequipa and journey through the scenic countryside, passing by quaint villages and stunning natural landscapes. Stop for lunch in Chivay , where you can savor traditional Peruvian cuisine. Afterward, continue your journey to the picturesque village of Chivayn. In the afternoon, unwind in the soothing thermal baths of La Calera (entrance fee not included), letting the warm waters melt away any lingering tension.

Day 7:
Colca / Arequipa: Condor Spotting

Early in the morning, set out for Cruz del Condor, a renowned viewpoint offering spectacular vistas of the Colca Canyon. Marvel at the breathtaking scenery and keep your camera ready to capture the majestic Andean condors as they glide on the thermals rising from the canyon depths. After enjoying the mesmerizing condor flights, embark on a scenic journey back to Arequipa, stopping at various viewpoints and charming villages along the way. Lunch will be in Chivay. Arrive in Arequipa in the afternoon and check back into your Hotel. Spend the evening at leisure, exploring more of Arequipa's delights or simply relaxing at the hotel.

Day 8:
Arequipa / Cusco: Journey to the Imperial City

After breakfast at the hotel, it's time to bid farewell to Arequipa and head to the imperial city of Cusco. Transfer to the airport for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, you'll be greeted and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, embark on a guided tour of Cusco, starting with a visit to the iconic Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun (Qoricancha). Explore the ancient archaeological sites of Qenqo, Puca Pucara, Tambomachay, and the impressive fortress of Sacsayhuaman, where you can marvel at the incredible Inca stonework and panoramic views of the city. Return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 9:
Cusco / Machu Picchu / Cusco: Wonder of the World

Get ready for the highlight of your trip - a visit to the legendary citadel of Machu Picchu! After an early breakfast, transfer to Ollanta train station for a scenic train journey to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, board a bus to the archaeological site and embark on a guided tour of this ancient Inca citadel, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Explore the fascinating ruins, temples, and terraces, and learn about the history and significance of Machu Picchu from your knowledgeable guide. After the tour, enjoy some free time to soak in the mystical atmosphere and capture unforgettable memories. Later, return to Aguas Calientes for some souvenir shopping before catching the train back to Ollanta. From there, transfer back to Cusco for overnight stay.

Day 11:
Cusco / Puno: Across the Altiplano

After breakfast at the hotel, embark on a scenic journey through the Andean highlands as you make your way to Puno, situated on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Transfer to the bus station to board a comfortable tourist bus for the journey. Along the way, you'll visit the picturesque San Pedro de Andahuaylillas Church, known as the "Sistine Chapel of Peru," and explore the Raqchi Archaeological Center, home to the Temple of the God Wiracocha. Enjoy a buffet lunch in Sicuani before continuing your journey to Puno, passing through La Raya, the highest point of the trip, and other scenic stops.

Puno: Lake Titicaca Discovery

Puno / La Paz: Across the Andes

After breakfast, it's time to bid farewell to Peru and embark on a cross-border journey to Bolivia. Depart from Puno early in the morning and travel to Copacabana, a charming town on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Visit the Copacabana Sanctuary and explore the city before boarding a catamaran cruise to the Island of the Sun. On this legendary island, visit ancient archaeological sites, cultural complexes, and enjoy panoramic views of the lake. Afterward, enjoy a buffet lunch on board the catamaran as you sail to the port of Chua. From there, transfer by road to the bustling city of La Paz.

Day 14:
La Paz: Cultural Immersion

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at the hotel before setting out to explore the vibrant city of La Paz. Begin with a guided city tour, visiting iconic landmarks such as the Witches Market, where you can find an array of traditional Bolivian products and mystical items. Continue to the colonial Church of San Francisco and Plaza Murillo, where you'll see important governmental buildings such as the Government Palace and the Parliament. Wander through the charming streets of JaƩn, home to several museums showcasing Bolivia's rich cultural heritage. In the afternoon, journey to the outskirts of La Paz to visit the spectacular Valley of the Moon, a unique geological formation resembling the lunar landscape. Take a short walk and visit a pottery workshop to learn about traditional ceramics. Get together for a farewell Dinner and then return to the hotel for overnight stay.

La Paz / Departure

Enjoy your final breakfast at the hotel before preparing for your departure. Depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time to explore more of La Paz or do some last-minute souvenir shopping. When it's time, transfer to the airport for your international flight, bidding farewell to the breathtaking landscapes and vibrant cultures of Peru and Bolivia.

Is travel insurance necessary?

While travel insurance is not mandatory, it's highly recommended to protect against unexpected events such as trip cancellations, medical emergencies, or lost luggage. Review different insurance options and select coverage that suits your needs.

What should I pack for the trip?

Plastic rain cape or poncho (waterproof), torches, rechargeable batteries, binoculars, good insect repellent with 35% DEET, sunblock, water bottle, light cotton clothes, trousers, and long-sleeved shirts, cotton socks and polo shirts, moisture-resistant shoes and/or rubber boots (we provide at the Lodge), swimwear, windbreaker (temperatures can drop considerably during rain or boat trips).

How do I handle currency and payments during the trip?

It's recommended to carry a mix of cash (in local currency) and credit/debit cards. ATMs may not be readily available in remote areas, so plan accordingly. Inform your bank of your travel plans to avoid any issues with card usage.
