Day 1:
Arrival in Lima - Welcome to Peru!

Welcome to Peru! Upon arrival at Lima airport, you'll be warmly received and transferred to your hotel in the vibrant residential district of Miraflores. This area is known for its lively atmosphere and stunning coastal views. After checking in, take some time to rest and acclimate. Enjoy a leisurely evening exploring Miraflores, perhaps strolling along the famous Malecón promenade or visiting the bustling Parque Kennedy. Overnight stay.

Day 2:
Discovering Cusco - The Heart of the Inca Empire

After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you'll head to the airport for your flight to the historic city of Cusco, the heart of the Inca Empire. Upon arrival, you'll be transferred to your hotel. After settling in and resting, your adventure begins with a guided tour of Cusco. First, visit the magnificent Qorikancha, or Temple of Gold, the most important religious site for the Incas. Then, explore the stunning Cathedral of Cusco with its intricate architecture and impressive colonial-era paintings. Wander through the charming streets and squares of Cusco, learning about its rich history. The tour continues with visits to the four nearby archaeological sites: the formidable fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the mysterious Qenqo, the red fortress of Puka Pukara, and the ritual baths of Tambomachay. Next, visit the picturesque village of Pisac, renowned for its vibrant handicraft market where you can witness locals bartering goods as they have for centuries. Board the Vistadome train at Ollanta station, and enjoy a scenic ride through the lush Andean landscape to Aguas Calientes. From there, take a bus up to the awe-inspiring citadel of Machu Picchu. Your guided tour will reveal the secrets of this ancient wonder, exploring highlights like the Intihuatana (the Solar Clock), the royal quarters, and the enigmatic Temple of the Three Windows. Machu Picchu Encore - Free Day in Aguas Calientes

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel. Today is yours to explore as you wish. Consider climbing Huayna Picchu for a stunning panoramic view of Machu Picchu (advance tickets required), or revisit the citadel to uncover more of its hidden gems. In the afternoon, board the train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to your Cusco hotel. Overnight stay.

Day 6:
Scenic Journey to Puno - Crossing the Andean Highlands

After breakfast, transfer to the bus station for a scenic journey to Puno. En route, visit the "Sistine Chapel of Peru" at San Pedro de Andahuaylillas, marvel at the impressive Raqchi Archaeological Centre, and enjoy a buffet lunch in Sicuani. The journey continues to La Raya, the highest point of the trip, offering spectacular views and a chance to spot llamas and vicuñas.
